Accent expands in Jackson, MN.

On June 30, 2009, employees of West Asset Management’s Accent location in Jackson, MN, moved to a new, larger office facility to accommodate current staff and additional client and job growth. The new office building, adjacent to the old facility, was the former home of a Third Party Administrator (TPA) insurance company, which closed its Jackson, MN operations in 2008.

Accent was able to provide viable new job opportunities for displaced workers; however, the influx of new staff resulted in exceeding capacity at the current office. In late 2008, West Asset Management and Accent began working with the Jackson Economic Development Corporation to purchase and renovate the office. By early 2009, the purchase was final and building improvements were completed in May. Improvements to the office include bigger workstations, larger restroom and break room facilities, plus updated carpeting and paint.

According to WAM Operations Supervisor, Jacci Classen, “It is just awesome that we’ve moved. We needed the room and we can’t thank the company enough for making this happen.”

Furniture and equipment from the old office has been donated to local schools, including Minnesota West Community and Technical College located in Jackson. The new office has allowed West Asset Management and Accent to nearly double work space capacity enabling the work-from-home employees to return to an office setting, and positioning the Jackson location as a site able to accommodate new business growth and additional jobs.

New business growth in the coming months will create new job opportunities to possibly include customer service, debt recovery, clerical and administrative support, health insurance claims auditing, and potential management growth.
