Validation
Validators at Accent access various clients’ claims systems to identify and audit for potential overpayments or incorrectly paid insurance claims. We seek individuals with backgrounds in health insurance claims processing, claims audition, or medical billing with strong ICD-9 & CPT coding knowledge.
Third Party Liability - Investigative
Investigative Specialists within Accent’s Third Party Liability (TPL) division investigate and research medical claim information from insurance companies, gather third party information from attorneys and adjusters, and verify attorney representation and/or liability insurance involvement. Paralegal experience and/or property casualty claim experience are necessary skills for these roles.
Coordination of Benefits - Investigative
Coordination of Benefits (COB) Investigative Specialists work with our clients’ insured members to gather basic information regarding current benefits coverage. The information is recorded by providing the insured customer with a written questionnaire, or by an inbound phone interview. Success in this role depends on excellent customer service skills and high attention to detail.
Recovery
Once claims are identified as incorrect or overpaid, the claims are turned over to Recovery Specialists who recover funds on behalf of our clients. Recovery involves professional telephone contact and interaction with insurance companies and/or health provides. Our Recovery Specialist positions require experience from a wide range of backgrounds including: medical billing, third-party liability, health insurance, customer service and recovery (collections).
Operations and Administrative Support
The high-level of excellence provided by Accent would not be possible without the support of diligent administrative staff. Support Specialists manage correspondence, scan documents and enter accounts into the appropriate computer systems. We look for individuals with excellent typing and ten key skills. Previous exposure in health insurance or in the collections industry is helpful.
